Is Permanent Makeup Right for You?

In our experience at Lily Handt health + beauty, many women feel the need to put on makeup in order to look professional. While many women enjoy wearing makeup, many also have more complicated feelings on the matter—for example, you might like how you look when wearing makeup but resent having to take the time to apply it every morning. If you are looking for a way to look your best without having to spend as much time on your makeup routine, we encourage you to consider using our permanent makeup treatments. In this article, we will provide more information about permanent makeup to help you decide if it is right for you.

History of Permanent Makeup

The original permanent makeup treatments involved tattooing. Instead of applying eyeliner before going out, you could instead have eyeliner permanently tattooed on your eyelids. You could also get permanent lip liner and lip color this way. While these makeup tattoos undoubtedly provided convenience, sparing people from having to do their makeup by hand, the results themselves could be mixed. In addition, not everyone was enthusiastic about that level of permanency.

Our Permanent Makeup

Our permanent makeup treatments differ in some important ways from the ones we described above. First, we use all natural and organic pigments instead of tattoo ink, which makes our treatments a healthier option. These pigments also break down over time, so they are only semi-permanent, lasting between one and three years instead of forever. Second, our permanent makeup treatments are much less invasive than tattooed makeup, and they cause minimal pain, if any.
