But if you have considered semi-permanent makeup, one thing you want to know right at the start is how long you will see results. Although the results of your semi-permanent makeup will not last forever, on average, our clients at Lily Hand health + beauty enjoy up to three years of results.
Depending on where we place the pigment, some of our semi-permanent makeup applications last a longer time than others. For instance, if we place pigment directly on the skin, this pigment will last longer than pigment placed on your eye line or your lash line. Factors that can affect how quickly the pigment fades include your personal skin type, the way your skin reacts to the pigment, how old you are, and how much time you spend out in the sun.
Although fading is an inevitable part of the process when you get semi-permanent makeup, there are ways you can extend your results. We recommend using proper sunscreen whenever you go outside and wearing a hat to protect your skin and the applied pigment. We also suggest avoiding Retinols and strong acids when you use skincare products.
